Chapel Hill Eyecare is happy to welcome Dr. Marc Lay to the practice. He began working at Chapel Hill Eyecare last summer.
Dr. Lay is a primary care optometrist who specializes in the medical management of eye disease. His post-doctoral training specialized in treatment and management of:
- diabetic retinopathy
- cataracts
- glaucoma
- macular degeneration
- vision therapy
- advanced contact lens fitting including corneal reshaping/orthokeratology.
He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology with honorsfrom the University of Georgia and went on to the State University of New York to obtain his doctorate in optometry. After receiving his doctorateand graduating first in class, he was selected to complete a residency inprimary care optometry and ocular disease at the Salisbury VA MedicalCenter in Salisbury, NC. He enjoys road cycling, sailing, and instructing spinning courses. Dr. Lay has also served overseas providing eye care services in Mexico and Peru.
Dr. Lay is welcoming patients of all ages to take care of all oftheir visual needs.
